Tyler Johnson

Tyler was born in Jackson, Mississippi, but he grew up in Northport, Alabama. He attended Chapel Hill Baptist Church as a child where he was discipled and taught the importance of living a missional lifestyle and serving his community. From middle school to college, Tyler was involved in many mission opportunities locally, nationally, and in other countries. These experiences helped shape a passion for serving the Lord each day.

Tyler graduated from Troy University in 2017 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and from the University of West Alabama in 2023 with a M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership.

Tyler answered God’s call to ministry in April of 2022 to become Youth Minister at Buhl Baptist Church and answered the call to become Lead Pastor in April of 2024.
